New at Denny’s: Plant-Based Pancake Slam – A Fully Vegan Breakfast
Popular restaurant chain, Denny’s, has been slowly adding plant-based offerings to its menu for many years. Their newest plant-based option, however, hits the ball right out of the park. The national rollout of Denny’s new Plant-Based Pancake Slam has tongues wagging and taste buds jumping for joy.
What’s in the Denny’s Plant-Based Pancake Slam?
While many chain restaurants skimp on adding plant-based items, Denny’s has recently added a perfect, plant-based breakfast, called the Plant-Based Pancake Slam, to menus in its 1,311 US locations. This 100% plant-based meal needs zero modifications. It has two multigrain wheat, plant-based pancakes with flaxseeds, cinnamon, and brown sugar, served with seasonal fruit and crispy hash browns. The new entree starts at $11.99. It is milk and egg free but does contain wheat and soy.
A Milestone for Vegan Dining at Chain Restaurants
Erin Kwiatkowski from Mercy for Animals remarked, “By committing to add a plant-based option to their breakfast menu, Denny’s is setting a precedent.” We are eager to see how many restaurant chains follow Denny’s example by adding more plant-based options to their breakfast menus.
