Fall is here and it is time to bring on the fall flavors. Starbucks has seven fall-forward drinks to help plant-based coffee drinkers get into the autumn spirit. Sadly, the Pumpkin Spice Latte is not one of those. Starbucks locations in the UK and parts of Europe have a dairy-free Pumpkin Spice Latte, but we have yet to see one in the United States. Do not let that get you down, though. Starbucks still has plenty of holiday spirit to bring on that warm fuzzy feeling. Some of these fall-flavored delights are vegan as-is. For the rest, choose soy, almond, oat, or coconut milk at no additional charge.
Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte
The Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte first debuted last year and now it is back by popular demand. The rich layers of buttery, nutty flavor are inspired by Starbucks’ lead beverage developer, Patrick Penny’s, grandmother’s pecan pie. Remove the dairy cold foam to make the drink vegan friendly. Ask for Starbucks’ non-dairy cold foam instead. Stick with the oat milk, as it offers the best complement to Starbucks’ Blonde Espresso. Order this tasty beverage hot or iced.
Pecan Oatmilk Cortado
The Pecan Oatmilk Cortado with three shots of Starbucks Blonde Espresso and steamed milk offers a stronger coffee flavor while still retaining a delicious, brown butter and holiday baking spice flavor. It has a perfect balance of rich espresso, pecan syrup, and creamy oat milk. Add extra drizzle for a nice flavor boost.
Cinnamon Dolce Latte
The Cinnamon Dolce Latte is on the year-round menu, but it is always great for that fall feeling. Ask for your favorite plant-based milk and remove the whipped cream and cinnamon dolce topping. Order this delicious drink hot, over ice, or in a Frappucino.
Iced Hazelnut Oatmilk Shaken Espresso
Get ready to ease into the Christmas season with the Iced Hazelnut Oatmilk Shaken Espresso. This hazelnut flavored treat features Blonde Espresso roast, hazelnut syrup, and oat milk which blend to create a wonderful holiday flavor. This one is vegan as-is, so order with no worries.
Caramel Macchiato (Changes Needed)
A year-round classic, the Caramel Macchiato has a creamy texture that is a nice complement to the sweet caramel flavor. Note that the caramel syrup is vegan, but the caramel sauce is not, so skip the caramel sauce topping. Add toffee nut sauce instead. Order this one hot or iced.
Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso
The Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shake Espresso has been on Starbucks’ menu since 2021. Its cinnamon and brown sugar are perfect fall flavors. This rich, sweet, and creamy drink is vegan as-is. Topped with cinnamon, it tastes like it came straight from a baker at the farmer’s market.
Brown Sugar Oatmilk Cortado
Previously featured by The Farm Buzz, the Brown Sugar Oatmilk Cortado is like the Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso, but with even more coffee flavor. Three shots of Blonde Espresso, brown sugar syrup, cinnamon, and creamy oat milk bring on the fall flavors. Add extra brown sugar syrup to make it even sweeter.
Starbucks’ fall menu has plenty to offer for the plant-based customer. We cannot enjoy the Pumpkin Spiced Latte yet, but we do have some delicious flavor options to see us through fall and into winter.
