North Pole News: Has Santa Gone Vegan?

Has Santa Gone Vegan?

For this holiday season and season’s past, a surprising trend emerged from the North Pole. Reports from around the globe, including sightings in editorial letters from The News Review, Yahoo News, The Monterey County Weekly, Rockaway’s The Wave, The Altamont Enterprise, Lahana News, and Harrisonburg Virginia’s The Daily News Record, suggest a significant change in Santa Claus’s traditional diet: Santa has gone vegan.

Santa’s Shift to Sustainable Choices

“Of course we’re delighted to see that Santa has made the sustainable choice this holiday season by transitioning to a plant-based lifestyle. His requests for plant-based cookies and milk and the fact he has retired all nine reindeer really warms our hearts.” Lisa Decresente, Director of Special Projects at Farm Animal Rights Movement (FARM), expressed in her delight.

A Letter from Santa About His Reindeer

In a widely published letter, Santa himself announces, “Our beloved reindeer will be retiring to a beautiful sanctuary. They have served tirelessly, guiding my sleigh through snow and stars for years, and it’s time for them to graze peacefully and bask in the comfort and care they deserve.” However, he also asks children worldwide to consider his new dietary choices on Christmas Eve, requesting plant-based milk and cookies instead of the traditional fare.

Inspiring Change and Togetherness

Santa’s letter concludes with a message of hope and inspiration: “I understand change can be unexpected, but I hope these adjustments will inspire a sense of togetherness for our planet and its inhabitants. Christmas is a time of love, generosity, and making the world brighter for all.”

With this shift, Santa is not only expected to shed a few pounds but also significantly lower his carbon footprint, contributing to easing the climate crisis. Starting December 26th, he will undoubtedly rest easier, knowing his beloved reindeer are enjoying their retirement under the North Pole sun.
